THE SHORTEST PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL PLAYER EVER IN THE WORLD - MEET THE BRAZILIAN MAGICIAN ELTON JOSE XAVIER GOMES




Élton José Xavier Gomes is a Brazilian footballer who play as an attacking midfielder for Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiah FC  is 1.54 m (5 feet 0.63 inches) tall.

The diminutive midfielder is considered  as the shortest professional football player ever on the planet.

 He shows uniqueness in football techniques and has his trademark afro style. This small stature footballer scored  in 11 goals in 25 games for his former side Al-Fateh FC resulting in victory at the league for the first time for the Arabian club in 2013 the same year which the club continued to lift the Saudi Super Cup as well.

 Besides being the shortest soccer player ever , he achieved some amazing success during his career.
The 33 year old attacking midfielder made his first professional appearance for Corinthians in Brazil making 6 appearances in the process.

In 2007 Élton was bought by Romanian side Steaua Bucureşti at the age of 21. Even though his spell with the Romanian team was short,  his impact immediate and was voted best player in last decade for Steaua Bucharest,. He scored in his first match against FC Argeş Piteşti.
The pocket size attacking midfielder has unique style of drippling and could pass and pull a fierce shot.

He signed for Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr FC in the same year and made 20 appearances, scoring 5 goals for the Arabian top side.


In 2017, Élton moved to Saudi side Al-Qadisiyah , where he captains the team after his successful spell in Al Fateh FC and he is considered one of the best players ever in the Arabian league.

Overall, Elton has played as many as 290 games, scoring as much as 74 goals as an attacking midfielder.
