CRISTIANO RONALDO has been criticised by Gary Lineker over a tweet on the day Emiliano Sala went missed.

Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to pay €19m to settle a tax fraud case in Madrid.

The settlement today came as the search continues to find the plane carrying new Cardiff striker Sala.
Sala’s plane went down over the English Channel on Monday evening and search and rescue teams will continue their efforts to find the plane on Wednesday morning.

And Ronaldo has down criticism from former England player Lineker following his recent post on Twitter.

In the aftermath of the settlement on Tuesday, Cristiano Ronaldo posted an image of himself grinning on a plane.

And Lineker replied: “Not the day for this tweet. It really isn’t.
