TOP 10 FULL BACKS IN THE EPL SO FAR

Jamie Carragher had it right when he declared that “no one grows up wanting to be Gary Neville”.
But there are few positions more important in the modern game than full-back.
Over the past 15 years, the role has evolved to such an extent that merely being rock-solid defensively is no longer acceptable; indeed, it is arguably much more important to carry offensive threat.
Increasingly it is becoming vital for full-backs to be able to beat opponents, to play the telling final pass, and to make a difference in the final third. They need to be able to transition from back to front quickly, while still having the energy and concentration levels to still do a job at the back.
But has 2018-19 been a vintage season for full-backs in the Premier League thus far? A number have suffered from injuries, others post-World Cup dips, meaning the jury is very much out.
