Confirmed - Real Madrid have signed former Barcelona prodigy "Japanese Messi" Kubo from FC Tokyo.



Real Madrid have secured the signature of the former player of their La Liga biggest rivals FC Barcelona, the club have confirmed.

 FC Tokyo forward Takefusa Kubo has signed a six-year contract with Real Madrid.

Kubo, who has been nicknamed ‘the Japanese Messi’, then signed for FC Tokyo but he celebrated his 18th birthday earlier this month and is subsequently available to return to European football.

The Japanse international is said to have caught the attention of sporting directors of the Los Blancos.

The left-footed attacker spent four years in the Blaugrana’s La Masia youth academy but had to leave the club in 2015 when Barcelona were sanctioned for signing underage players illegally.
Madrid have for a time now caught the attention of young prospects and signed Vinicius Jnr. followed by the signing of Rodrygo and have now snatched Kubo at the expense of Barcelona.
