Anyone who proposes GHC 1,000 as player salary is not cleaver"-Proud United President

President of Proud United Joojo Duncan says paying home based players an amount of GHC1,000 is not feasible.
According to him, any sportsman who suggests that to the Normalization Committee is not clever.
"He said anyone who proposes that a player in Ghana should be paid GHC1,000 is not cleaver"Where are we going to take the monies from, even the two most glorious clubs in Ghana, Kotoko and Hearts how many people patronize their game not to talk of Proud United and Swedru All Blacks".

"We have not grown the game to the point where fans will troop to the stadium because it's football game, its not so here", Duncan said.
Early this month, the GFA Normalization Committee meet with captains of the teams to deliberate on their welfare.
According to sources, GHC3000 was proposed to be the minimum wage of a Ghanaian player who plays in the local league.
Jojo Duncan thinks this is not feasible since the club's don't make enough in terms of money to meet the demands of players.
"Where are we gonna get that amount from, what job have we done in football to pay a player by that amount"?.
Meanwhile, the GFA Normalization Committee is due to organise a step gap competition to keep the players in shape as they work on bringing the game to normalcy and also organise election for new GFA Executives.
