THE OTHER SIDE OF GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL WE HAVE LEFT BEHIND FOR MANY YEARS
Many have been calling the new Ghana Football Association president Mr. Kurt E.S Okraku and his Executive Committee Members to prioritise grassroots football in the country. One of Kurt’s campaign promises as an aspirant for the position GFA president was to make sure that the country’s grassroots football develops. Veteran coaches like Karim Zito, J.E Sarpong and some top football administrators have had their say on this matter. They are all in support of developing grassroots football under the leadership of the former Executive Chairman of Dreams F.C . But one thing that I would like the president and the football people to consider is whenever they are talking about grassroots we only talk about making juvenile football clubs in the cities and town more competitive and attractive, so for the past years we always make it feel like grassroots are only for the people of Accra, Kumasi,Techiman, Dormaa Ahenkro and the rest, leaving the talents and their development in the villages behi
